About Me

Proven Leader in Negotiation, Decision Making and Influence

Marta Coelho is an Economist who holds a BSc and a MSc in Economics, and a PhD in Behavioural Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She is a Professor and Consultant in the fields of Negotiation, Decision Making and Influence.

Since 2004, Marta has been a key staff Member at LSE, where she led a highly successful Negotiation course for several years. She is also an Associate Fellow of the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School), where she is a staff member of the Oxford Programme on Negotiation and of Customized Negotiation Programmes, and she also taught at London Business School. Marta has over 25 years of teaching experience in World leading Universities.

Her work on Negotiation and Decision Making has been widely acknowledged and are central to her teaching and consulting work as evidenced by the reference to her work by the Nobel Prize winner in Economics, Daniel Kahneman, in his book “Thinking Fast and Slow”.

Marta has vast experience in development training and executive coaching/ mentoring in the fields of Negotiation and Influence having supported leading institutions such as the United Nations (the “World Food Programme”), Adidas, Equinor, Freshfields, just to name a few.

Marta has also served as a Non-Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the world group leader in the cork industry, Corticeira Amorim, where she was also Chairwoman of the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) committee and a Member of the Audit Committee.

Marta has a true passion for empowering people: to see them GROW and become more impactful.
